Mission Statement

Holy Redeemer Catholic School is a faith-centered community, dedicated to living the principles of the Catholic Tradition rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our school's environment and curriculum challenge the full potential of each child and embrace a visionary approach toward academic excellence and life-long learning.

Authored August 1999

Holy Redeemer Catholic School is an Archdiocesan school in Alpharetta, Georgia. Located in a vibrant northern suburb of Atlanta, Holy Redeemer has made a significant impact on the community. Its reputation speaks of a rigorous academic program paralleled with a strong religious education. A comprehensive curriculum is provided in mathematics, science, language arts, foreign language, social studies, social development, fine arts, and physical education.

The physical plant was constructed in 1999 and offers many of the "best practice" features, which are essential for education. Our computers, which are fully networked, provide students the opportunity to experience the benefits of technology incorporated with their academic curriculum. The classrooms are arranged according to the developmental ability of the child (K-2, 3-5, 6-8) and open into a large "family center". These centers provide a dynamic space for multiple groups of children to gather for liturgy, group instruction, special presentation, projects and other similar activities.

Our media center contains more than 12,000 volumes in its circulation collection. The reference collection includes both print and electronic media. In addition, our closed circuit television system and video production studio offer student "news anchors" a creative way to deliver the daily announcements to the school community.

Holy Redeemer Catholic School has been accepted for candidacy in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, SACS as well as Georgia Independent School Association, GISA. We are also a member of National Catholic Education Association, NCEA. All teachers are certified with over 60% holding advance degrees and an average of 12 years experience.

The school day begins at 7:55 A.M. and ends at 3:15 P.M. Children may arrive as early as 7:00 A.M. and are under teacher's supervision in the school cafeteria. Our cafeteria offers an optional hot lunch program or students may choose to bring their own lunch.

Students will be considered for admission to Holy Redeemer School on the basis of academic ability, conduct, and the desire to embrace and support the philosophy of Catholic education. We encourage our applicants to visit our website at www.hrcatholicschool.org. The website is changed regularly with continual updates of activities that are going on at school. This is a great way for you to learn about Holy Redeemer.
